The Results are in! (+ Reading List)

So, I got the College Admissions Simulation stuff back, and I can look over my scores and comments and what not. Four people gave me scores, each 1-4 ratings in 6 categories, and an over all rating. I got all 3's and 4's, except for one 2.

The one person on my panel who was from City High was actually my boyfriends math teacher. He gave me all 3's, and said my presentation was "A bit odd, but pleasant" that was the only comment he wrote. I wonder if that's me, my presentation, or both. During the interview though, he actually asked me the most questions.

When I actually apply, I'm apparently going to have to go through weeks of editing and re-writing. It was suggested to include portfolios of my writing.

On a different note, I have a ton of books on my reading list, mos of which are fairy tale retellings. The one that I really want to read though is Pride and Prejudice and Zombies ! It looked rather interessting, and it's checked out in ALL the library's around where I live, so it must be good. Also, Kendra seems to take intrest in "The Mortal Instruments" trilogy... I've never really hear of it until I read her blog, but the qoutes are rather amusing. I do believe there is another book she read that I considered looking into.

Also on my reading list::

Other Dragonriders of Pern books
The Midnighters
Mira, Mirror
Beastly
Enchantment

The Phoenix Dance

I'm glad things went well with the college thing! That's an interesting comment, "A bit odd, but pleasant." I think I would take it as a compliment, though.

I think you might like "The Mortal Instruments". In a nutshell, it's about these people called Shadowhunters who are in charge of keeping demons out of our world. The thing is, regular people can't see the demons, or the Shadowhunters, unless they want to be seen, with one exception. Fifteen-year-old Clary can suddenly see them, and no one knows why. She gets caught up in their "world" and learns secrets about who her single mother really is. There's a little romance, too :)

Were the other books you wanted to look into the "Farsala Trilogy"? I think I remember you saying something about them sounding interesting.

I want to read "The Midnighters", too! I haven't gotten around to it yet, though; I'm in the middle of so many series. I haven't heard of any of the other books except the "Dragonriders of Pern".

Happy reading!
